Back in issue 307 we explained how to burn documents, music and videos to CD, DVD and Blu-ray discs. All three processes are fairly simple, so after a little practice you should find you can burn most discs with ease. So is that all there is to know about disc burning? Not necessarily. Both disc writers and the software used for disc creation are surprisingly versatile and can be used to do all sorts of things. Did you know, for example, you can use a blank DVD disc to drag and drop files in the same way as a USB memory key? And do you know how to get more video on a single disc? In this article we'll explain some expert tricks for burning discs and, as few people currently own a Blu-ray drive, we'll focus on CDs and DVDs.
