Windows Explorer is a program that is included with the operating system. It is designed to help navigate files and folders stored on disks attached to the PC. When Windows Explorer is launched it always opens to display the same folder, though this varies depending on which version of Windows is installed. In XP and Vista, for example, it opens the My Documents/Documents folder. Windows 7 users, meanwhile, will see the Libraries folder instead.
