A problem with some internet security packages is that they hog system resources and slow down your PC. PC Tools Internet Security 2012 aims to offer a solution to this. The user can choose between three preset modes, which automatically tweak the program's settings to give priority to speed or protection. The default Performance setting claims to have the least effect on performance and enables background virus protection, behaviour-based virus detection and a firewall.
