Remove stubborn viruses

My ISP is BT Yahoo and I use the McAfee Internet Security tool provided with my subscription. I also run Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (www. malwarebytes.org) and Spybot Search & Destroy once a month or whenever a problem arises. Recently Spybot flagged up a virus called Win32.Downloader.gen. When I tried to fix it, Spybot came up with an error message. I ran Spybot twice more with the same result.
