Lenovo restores Start menu to Windows 8 laptops

Computer manufacturer Lenovo has teamed up with a software company to restore the Start menu to its Windows 8 laptops. The company said it will pre-install SweetLabs' Pokki software, which includes an app store separate from the Windows Store, a gaming arcade and a "modern Start menu". Pokki places an acorn icon where the Start menu used to be. Its store contains apps for many popular websites, games and services, including Amazon, Facebook, Outlook, YouTube, Spotify and Angry Birds.
