The Vaio Duo 13 is a 13 in tablet, but pull the catch at the top of the screen and it flips up to reveal a keyboard and touchpad so it can be used as a laptop. Push down and forwards to transform it back into a tablet. Although the screen's slender hinge looks precarious, it actually feels robust, and the metal construction of the Duo feels rigid. However, the tapered edges and 1.3kg weight -which is light for a laptop but heavy for a tablet - make it awkward and uncomfortable to hold and use as the latter.
