In recent years, IPcameras have become easier to install and use. The Ucam 247 can be installed without even needing to turn on a PC; instead, it relies on smartphone or tablet apps. On opening the box we were disappointed to find one sheet of instructions that referred us to YouTube videos showing how to install the camera. As these videos had no sound or moving images and comprised a tedious slideshow, we failed to see the point.
