Photo Gallery can be hard to find because it isn't pre-installed with Windows 7 or 8, and its interface when previewing images closely resembles the pre-installed Windows Photo Viewer. To get Photo Gallery, download and install Windows Live Essentials from the Microsoft website. Once it's installed, you may want to make Photo Gallery your default image-viewing program because it gives you easy access to excellent editing features. To do this, right-click an image, select 'Open with', then click 'Choose program'. In the dialogue box, click Photo Gallery.
