Access multiple Outlook accounts from the same inbox

I prefer using two email accounts - one for personal use and another one for my various online notifications and service subscriptions. I recently found out that Outlook/Hotmail lets you create a separate alias email account from your main account. Once it's created, you can merge both accounts to receive emails from them in the same inbox (albeit in separate folders). Moreover, you can sign in to both accounts with the same password and even choose which account to send a new email from. This is great if you'd like to keep track of two accounts from the same place.
