Convert video files for phones and tablets

If you've got a video file on your PC that you want to play on your mobile device, you can use VLC media player to convert it. In VLC media player, click the Media menu, then Convert/ Save. Click Add in the Open Media window that appears, select the file you want to convert and click Open. Next, click Convert/Save. In the lower-half of your screen you'll see your file profile. Click the spanner and screwdriver ('Edit selected profile') button beside that. Choose MP4/MOV as this is the best format for mobile devices. Click Save when you've finished, choose your destination folder, then click Start to begin converting your file.
