Photos posted by parents on social networks such as Facebook and Instagram account for over half of images found on some child-abuse websites, according to Australia's new Children's eSafety Commissioner. Investigators in Australia found that paedophiles steal millions of photos of children innocently enjoying everyday activities, then group them into categories such as "kids at beach", "nice boys play in river" and "gymnasts". These images had been posted by "over-sharing" parents, apparently unaware of how easily they could be downloaded by strangers.
