Windows 10 countdown -upgrade for free after 29 June

With just one month left before Microsoft's upgrade offer expires, time's running out for people who want a free copy of Windows 10. However, a potential loophole has emerged that could allow users to stay with their current operating system (OS) for now, then switch to Windows 10 for free any time that suits them after the 29 July cut-off date. As we reported in Issue 476, it seems increasingly unlikely that the company will announce a further extension to the free offer - Microsoft itself is urging "all customers to take advantage of it while it is still active". There's still time for the software company to change its mind. But in the meantime, those who don't appreciate being forced into upgrading by Microsoft's deadlines and bullying tactics, may have been thrown a potential lifeline in the shape of a way to get the OS for free after the cut-off date.
