Microsoft has been forced into a U-turn following a backlash over its latest Windows 10 upgrade message, which was tricking some people into downloading the operating system. The controversy surrounds a message that tells you when your upgrade is scheduled to begin. What's enraging people is that clicking the top-right 'x' to close the box - one of the most common actions performed on a PC - tells Microsoft that you've agreed to the upgrade (see screenshot). To compound users' frustration, Microsoft wasn't telling them that this action confirmed the upgrade, causing confusion when Windows 10 started to download.
