Norton antivirus flaw 'as bad as it gets' - so update now

Symantec has urged users of its Norton antivirus to update the software, after it was found to contain a huge security flaw. Google security researcher Tavis Ormandy discovered a vulnerability that, if exploited by hackers, could allow them to take control of a computer. An attack would be devastatingly simple to carry out - the hacker would just need to email a file to a computer to gain access to it. The victim wouldn't even need to open the email.
