Microsoft will soon close one of the remaining options to upgrade to Windows 10 for free - the so-called 'assistive technologies' loophole. The company confirmed online that the offer will end on 31 December (www.snipca. com/26108, see screenshot). Since 29 July 2016, Microsoft has said that anyone using assistive tools, such as the screen-reading program Narrator, can upgrade without paying anything. For a year up to that date, it was a free upgrade to everyone running Windows 7 and 8.1.
