In Issue 496's Best New Apps section, we told you about news app Flipboard's new Smart Magazines feature. This lets you select more specialised topics of interest within your news feed. Previously, for example, selecting Football as a category of interest meant you would receive a broad range of stories from the world of football. Now you can narrow this down to news about a particular league, specific teams and even favourite players. At the moment, you can only use the Smart Magazines feature on Android phones and iPhones.
