This new version of HP's distinctively chiselled touchscreen laptop-tablet arrived in the top £1,799 configuration, making us tut at the £600 extra over the affordable base model that most people will be more likely to consider. The tutting stopped when we turned it on and tried the high-colour 4K AMOLED screen, which left our mouths hanging open instead. Not only is it ridiculously sharp -technically, sharper than your eyes can fully appreciate, unless any of our readers are birds of prey - but offers a choice of modes that can accurately encompass the DCI-P3 video-editing colour space, a much wider range of colours than the standard sRGB, or 96 per cent of the Adobe RGB gamut, favoured by graphic designers for its coverage of printable colours.
