I'm one of those annoying people that sits on trains tap-tap-tapping loudly on their laptop, disturbing people trying to skim-read that morning's Metro. I've tried tapping more softly, but my fingers are like pneumatic road drills. If you've sat next to me over the past few years, please accept my apologies. When my laptop goes quiet, it's usually because I'm attempting to do something with its touchpad: right-click a browser tab, perhaps, or highlight a block of text. The problem with this is that my touchpad rarely does what I want it to. Copying and pasting text somehow ends up opening 15 websites; scrolling down is more a case of screwing up.
