What's causing my PC to freeze?

Q My problem has various computer geeks baffled. My two-year-old PC with a 3.79GHz AMD Ryzen 51600 six-core processor, 16GB RAM and Windows 10 often freezes for about 30 seconds then continues as though nothing had happened. It can occur at any time. For example, halfway through typing an email the cursor stops and there's nothing for it but to remain patient until the PC carries on again. I'm a fan of Computeractive, having taken the magazine since the first copy.
