Health experts and websites fight coronavirus hoaxes

The World Health Organisation (WHO) has ( met with Amazon, Facebook, Google, Twitter and YouTube to discuss how the tech giants can prevent coronavirus hoaxes being spread online. It offered to work with the companies to check the accuracy of stories circulating on the internet. The sites agreed to work together on tools to tackle false stories, and to set up a call centre people can contact for advice. Hoaxers have been spreading misinformation about the disease since the outbreak was first confirmed by Chinese authorities.
