Dell has admitted it took five days to reset customers' passwords after the company "detected and disrupted" a hack that attempted to steal users' data.On 14 November the PC giant changed the passwords for customers who have shopped at Dell.com, almost a week after the attack. It didn't tell customers for two weeks.Investigators from the company said hackers tried to steal customer names, email addresses and scrambled passwords, but not payment-card details. Dell said there was no "conclusive evidence" the criminals succeeded, but it hasn't ruledout the possibility that some data was stolen.
