Set drive letters for your USB sticks

When you plug a USB stick into your computer, Windows assigns it the next available drive letter. This means you can never be sure which drive letter a USB stick will have. If you run backups to a specific USB stick, these will fail if it's assigned a different drive letter each time. To avoid this, you can set your own drive letters. Windows will then remember these letters for each USB stick, so the next time you insert one it will have the assigned drive letter. Don't worry if your USB sticks already have files on them - follow our advice and these will remain in tact.
