Fake URL bars on Android devices

A security researcher has shown how hackers could manipulate the Chrome browser on Android devices to trick users into thinking they were on a safe website, when in fact it is stealing their details. The trick, as described by James Fisher on his blog (www.snipca.com/31484), exploits something Chrome does to make life easier when you browse on phones or tablets: remove the URL address bar at the top when you scroll down the page. This gives you more room to read what's on screen.
