Intel chips boost laptop Wi-Fi

Intel has released new laptop processors that promise much faster Wi-Fi speeds and longer battery life. The eighth-generation processors, part of Intel's Core U- and Core Y-series, come with built-in Gigabit Wi-Fi, which Intel claims can download 12 times faster than current speeds. The speed boost will be most noticeable on cheaper mid-range laptops.
