This paper presents a theoretical analysis of strength size effect associated with the length and thickness of laminated composites. The presented expressions for prediction of the reliability use the Equal Load Sharing Rule (ELS Rule) and are determined by sequential multi-step failure of sing lamina or sublimate. The developed equations show the influence of the thickness and length on the strength of laminated composites. Strength size effect of unidirectional laminated composite under uniaxial tension, and cross-ply laminated composite under biaxial tension is analyzed and presented. The numerical results show the difference between size effect associated with length and that with thickness. Therefore, if Weibull weeks link model is used to predict strength size effect associated with the length and thickness of laminated composites, modification should be introduced.
