摘要

Electromagnets with an oil dashpot are used for the electromagnetic release in low voltage circuit breakers. In the analysis for minimum tripping currents of these circuit breakers, it is necessary to examine the dynamic behavior of oil dashpots. It was difficult to analyze the dynamic behavior of the oil dashpots having long strokes. A new method using finite element has been developed.
