On Some Distributional Properties of the Family of Weighted Generalized Poisson Distribution

Ambagaspitiya (1995) considered a family of discrete distribution with the property that p_k(a;b) = [h_1(a; b) + (h_2(a;b))/k]p_(k-1)(a + b; b), k = 1, 2,... and obtained w(a; b)-weighted (Rao, 1965) generalized Poisson distribution (GPD) as a sub class of the family. In this article various distributional properties of this sub class are studied when w(a; b) = a~(s+1).
