The Existence of a Solution to a Fractional Order Initial Value Problem

In this paper, we will examine a fractional order initial value problem with the Caputo derivative and a Carathebdory inhomogeneous term. We show the existence and uniqueness of a mild solution and a solution using the nonlinear alternative of Leray-Schauder and the contraction mapping principle.
