Loss Calculation and Thermal Analysis of Axial AMB in HTR-PM Helium Circulator

摘要

The helium circulator is one of the importantcomponents of the High Temperature Gas-cooledReactor Pebble Bed Module (HTR-PM). It uses theelectromagnetic suspension technology to support therotor, the so-called magnetic bearing technology.Considering the performance and safety issues on theaxial active magnetic bearing(AMB) caused by potentialhigh temperature, this paper calculates copper loss,iron loss and wind loss in axial AMB and simulatestemperature field under a normal operating condition,and compares the results with the experimental data.
