摘要

The importance of reaction kinetics in combustion processe: has been recognized already in the early stages of the developmen of the fundamentals of combustion theory. Notably, in his Nobe Lecture of December 11,1956, Nikolai Semenov, whose work initiated nearly 80 years ago (e.g., [1]), emphasized that considering "mechanisms of chemical reactions and in particular chain reac tions," is essential towards the understanding of "combustior and explosion processes."
