We conclude that applying the GRC approach to auditing by the audit (or security) function is a sound move whose time has come.rnThis is because there are many tangible and intangible benefits for the enterprise and many advantages to have the audit department inject a fresh dose of value added contribution to the organization.rnEmbracing a GRC approach for the conduct of audits will also contribute to improve the cost-effectiveness of how the audit department utilizes its resources. This is very timely considering the current global economic environment in organizations of all types that demand "more value received with fewer resources".
