Among the many challenges facing the textile industry and in particular the wet processing activity are the problems of conforming to environmental requirements and of complying with international quality standards in respect of manufacturing processes and of the resulting final textile material. In these aspects the factors of minimal pollution of the environment has assumed the most important role. To conform to these new requirements the textile wet processing machinery has to cater to the basic requirements in terms of limiting the pollutants to the desired level. Some of these developments are briefly discussed here.
