Textile and Apparel Processing 2003

The Textile & Apparel Processing Symposium (TAPS2003), which was held at Intercontinental Park Royal at New Delhi on 12th July was received extremely well by the industry. With an attendance of over 100 persons from the industry, TAPS2003 was percieved by one and all as being a refreshingly different and the lone event focusing exclusively on the area of garment processing. While everyone appreciated the overall conduct of the event in terms of the international look, profes-sional approach and fine organisation, many delegates complimented the fact that the presentations at TAPS2003 did not have much of the "product selling undercurrents" that one often notices at seminars. Being solely aimed at knowledge disseminateion and raising issues of common interest, TAPS2003 achieved at bringing under one roof people from processing, garment exporters, domestic brands, buying house personnel, people from chemical companies and textile companies.
