China Interdye 2004

The 4th China International dye industry, pigments, printing and dyeing auxiliary exhibition was held during April 22-24, 2004 at Intex Shanghai, China. This was organized by China Dyestuff Industry Association, China Dyeing and Printing Association and Shanghai-based Council for Promotion of International Trade and Chamber of International Commerce. The exhibition assumes importance considering the fact that now China is the world's largest consumer of dyes and auxiliaries. Its dyed cloth production was over 21 billion metres in 2002, a figure higher by 18% from the previous year. This year's exhibition attracted a record number of participating countries as well as their exhibitors. Table 1 gives details of this participation.
