Last two installments have described many examples covering laboratory level studies of the following parameters that influence flame retardant finish using THPOH as the flame retarding agent: 1. Concentration of THPOH 2. THPC:NaOH ratio 3. Stability of THPOH padding liquor 4. Drying duration of padded fabric 5. Duration of ammonia gas exposure. Besides the above, the effect of extended laundering on the flame retardant finish was also studied.
