摘要

Various hot brand reactive dyes have been synthesised by coupling diazotised 4,4′-methylene-bis-anthranilic acid with various o-fluoro anilino cyanurated coupling components and their dyeing performance as reactive dyes has been assessed on silk, wool and cotton fibres. These dyes have been found to give a wide range of yellow to violet shades on each fibres. The purity of all the dyes have been checked by thin-layer chromatography. The value of percentage of N found in all these dyes is found to be in good agreement with the calculated values. The IR spectra of all these dyes recorded on Perkin-Elmer Spectropho-tometer (Model-377) showed all characteristic bands present in the dye molecules and a representative dye PMR spectra showed all the expected signals. The percentage dye-bath exhaustion and fixation on different fibres was found to be good to excellent. The dyeing performance of all these dyes on silk, wool and cotton gave moderate to very good light fastness, fair to excellent fastness to washing and rubbing.
