Ecological requirements for the textile industry

The new generation textile processor is the strongest link in the chain of supply of textiles and end products. Effective monitoring and control of the raw materials, colouration chemicals, processing and specialty chemicals will be necessary to achieve the specifications that are today required for global trade. Post WTO, the Indian Textile Industry has to be able to compete and comply with the requirements in the world. To survive, grow and prosper, the wet processing industry will have to play a leadership role. The technical expertise of the processor will be tested to its fullest and if, as an industry we have to challenge the others in the world, we will have to adapt and adapt quickly to the current and future requirements put out by the buyers in the world.
