This is the second installment of machines for nonwovens. In the first installment, published in the last issue of Colourage[l], we have introduced this subject and projected the importance of nonwovens in technical textiles. In order to understand the role of machines selected here for nonwoven production Fig. 94, already given in the earlier installment, is repeated. China's rapid progress in nonwoven production under various technologies, in recent past, is given in Table 13. A break-up of end-uses of this production is given in Table 14[2], During this period, the nonwoven industry in India is mentioned as 'still in its early infancy' while "it hasabrightfuture"[3].
