From the above tests the following conclusions can be drawn:rn1. The growth of bacteria is significantly less in case of anti-odour finished fabrics.rn2. The growth is very much suppressed up to 10 washes. The effect of the particular finish is gradually diminishing with increased number of washing. The retention of the particular finish is no more after 60-70 no. of soap washing.rn3. Higher pick up % imparts better effect in both the case of woven and knitted fabric.rn4. The bacterial colony formed in case of Knitted fabric is more than the woven one. This is prob-rnably because the latter is more porous and absorbent.
