摘要

The present state of man made fibres has resulted because of an intensification of research on different polymeric materials, structural modifications for fibre formation, modification of the present fibres, development of new fibres and development of new technology for fibre formation. This is because multiple works has achieved the present state of fibres by many sides made in different ways like chemical, physicochemical, physical and mechanical. Each system has contributed their quota to the present state and the scope for further developments.
