Brushing machines are used in processing to make the cloth level and clean. Brushing removes loose fibres, ends and foreign matter entangled with the pile. It also is used to raise the tips of the fibres before shearing and used after shearing to remove any loose cut fibres. Even for efficient singeing, brushing is an important part of the process. In this case special brushes are placed on both sides of the fabric and a mechanism is provided so that fabric contact can be easily varied from 2ero to maximum contact.
