Meeting of DMAI members with Chinese Dyestuff Industry Association (CDIA) at Shanghai

The 10th China Interdye 2010 Exhibition was held at Shanghai on 14-16 April 2010. As it was an international Dyestuffs and Textile Chemicals Exhibition, our Association decided to visit the exhibition as in the past with our willing members. Accordingly, 10 members with their families visited the exhibition at Shanghai.rnDuring our visit, DMAI members had a healthy meeting with a few Office Bearers of Chinese Dyestuff Industry Association (CDIA) on 15th April 2010 at our instance. President Shri Ram Ajekar gave a brief account of the present status of Indian Dyestuffs Industry. Our exports were of the order of USD 2.5 Billion for the fiscal 2008-2009. India's share in the global market was about 11% with production estimated at 2,50,000 MT, which is likely to go up to 25% by the end of the decade.
