Prof Dr. E.H. Daruwalla A legend in Textile Industry

Prof Dr. Erach Hormusji Daruwalla (88), former Director of UDCT during September 1971 to October 1983 and Head of Textile Chemistry Department, passed away on Saturday 17th March 2012. An M.Sc. (Tech) (Bombay); Ph.D. (Manchester), he was the Fellow Royal Society of Chemistry (UK); Fellow Indian Academy of Sciences, Fellow Textile Association India. He retired as the Director of University Department of Chemical Technology-UDCT (now the ICT) and was also the Professor of Textile Chemistry and Centre of Advanced Study in Applied Chemistry, University of Bombay; He was also the Former Director and Research Advisor, Bombay Textile Research Association.
