Bangladesh garment export earnings rise 17% in July-Aug'13

Bangladesh's earnings from exports of readymade garments increased by nearly 17 percent year-on-year during the first two months of the current financial year beginning July 1, 2013, according to the data released by the Export Promotion Bureau (EPB). In July-August 2013 period, knitwear exports fetched US$ 2.101 billion for Bangladesh, showing a rise of 17.19 percent over exports worth US$ 1.793 billion made during the corresponding period of last year.
