Polyester 2014 - 2nd International Conference held in Mumbai

The 2nd international Conference on Indian Polyester organised by Elite Conferences was held on 5th August 2014 in Mumbai. Mr Jayesh Sampat, Elite Conferences, welcomed the 300 + delegates and spoke about the topics lined up and the program ahead. The conference was divided into four sessions during which 16 presentation were given by eminent speakers from overseas and India. During the inaugural session on 'Global Markets' 5 presentations will be done. The first one on 'Economic overview & outlook' was given by Mr. Anil Uttamchandani, Head - Investment Research & Portfolio, Counseling, Citibank followed by a presentation on 'India: The next big frontier for textiles' by Mr. Prashant Agarwal, Jt. Managing Director, Wa2ir Advisors. The other 3 papers during the inaugural session were on "Global polyester overview -Supply explosion in China' by Mr. Wei Ding, Director, PTA and Derivatives, Aromatics & Fibers, IHS Chemical, China; 'Overcapacity in the Xylenes chain' by Mr. Steve Jenkins, Head - Global Paraxylene & Derivatives Business, PCI Xylenes & Polyesters, Malaysia and 'Global & Indian glycol industry' by Mr. Kamlesh Parwani, Commercial Director - METIP, MEG lobal International, UAE.
