DEPARTMENT OF DYESTUFF Technology launched Association of Colour Chemists and Technologists (ACTI) in December 2006 for interaction of past and present students. Under aegis of ACTI, faculty, students and alumni celebrated Dyes Day (reinstated in 2014) on 17th March 2017 with musical extravaganza at Mysore Association Hall. Highlights of the evening were songs rendered by Prof. V.R. Kanetkar, Prof. N. Sekar, V.Y.Sane and mono-act play (Gabbar Singh -Sholay) interspersed with jokes by Dr. K.S. Murthy (alumni of 1961) and students performed instruments like Flute, Tabla and Mridangam followed by group dances.
