Effect of PET filament on the tensile and tearing properties woven fabric

Polyester filament yam of different types were used for weaving of plain and satin design fabrics to measure tensile and tearing properties. Fully drawn yarn, textured and crape yarn is prominently used for weaving of dress materials. Textured yarn is available with various bulk characterizes which impact on the hand feel properties of dress materials whereas Polyester Crepe Fabric has elegant grooves for a crisp crinkled form. This fabric is woven with yarn that is firmly twisted in either the weft, warp, or both. Since it is made from fully drawn yarn Polyester, Textured Polyester & Crepe, the fabric has the same exceptionable durability and wrinkle resistance characteristics of the synthetic material. The soft hand and fluid drape, Polyester Crepe Fabric offer a gorgeous flossy look that is ideal for summer dresses, tunics, and evening wear. In this project we have emphasized in determining the impact of fully drawn yarn, textured yarn & crape yarn on properties of plain and satin weave. The comparative study states that the textured effects filament has a better impact on the fabric tenacity and elongation compared to crepe made fabric.
