摘要

Using a single-particle light-scattering technique, we investigated rapid coagulation with monodisperse Fe_2O_3 particles (haematite). It was revealed that the value of the velocity constant of coagulation, k_(11) = 11.0 x 10~(-12) cm~3 s~(-1), was significantly closer to predictions by Smoluchowski's theory than to theories which allow for hydrodynamic and van der Waals interactions between spherical particles.
