Thank goodness for the hard core artist. He (or she) is a long-term, loyal buyer, continually refilling supplies year round and rarely needs extensive sales assistance. To grow profits, however, new customers must be cultivated. That's where the potential—and the challenge—lies. From what I've seen, we can do a much better job of increasing sales from new customers.
