Photos and fabrics come together in exciting ways that elevate memory crafting to a whole new level. Consumers are applying ordinary computer technology to specialty textile products in a process that proves easy and provides outstanding results. While the photos and artwork are applied to fabric, this crafting activity is not limited to sewers. In addition to apparel and quilts, photo-fabrics find a following with scrapbookers, altering artists and home decorators. "Quilter/crafters are printing on fabric to make their own fabric scrapbooks, quilt labels, create reproduction fabric and designs. We have seen many examples of uses―? from quilted vests displaying photos meaningful to the wearer, to fabric quiet-books created for young children," says Linda Pumphrey of Buffalo Batt/Mountain Mist.
